areola repigmentation
Creating your perfect areolae
Medical tattooing for areola repigmentation is a long-lasting, semi-permanent way to redesign your areola. At your patch test/consultation your desired look will be discussed and you will see your final results 4-6 weeks after treatment once the skin has healed.
Options include:
Adding colour to areolae that are naturally pale or have lightened after breast augmentation
Making areolae more symmetrical
Changing the shape, including to custom shapes such as hearts or stars
Creating new areola and 3D-looking nipples for clients who have had reconstructive work after breast cancer or injury

Yes. You must have a patch test at least 48 hours before Scar Camouflage or Areola Repigmentation treatments.
A small amount of the pigment product will be placed on the skin behind the ear. This is left on for 24 hours, then you can wash it off.
You can book a free patch test via our booking system.
These appointments are also an opportunity for you to consult with Eden about the best treatment plan for you.
Medical needling does not require a patch test, but you are welcome to book in for a free consultation too.
You can book your treatment at the same time, as long as this appointment is scheduled for at least 2 days after your patch test.

Results typically last 3-8 years before a top up is needed. This depends on the individual, and lighter pigment colours fade more quickly. You will be provided with aftercare advice to ensure you receive the best results possible.

Most clients find the treatment to be pain-free, some compare it to the feeling of a rubber band snapping on the skin.
If you are concerned about pain you can purchase a numbing cream over the counter from any chemist, and apply it 30 minutes before treatment.

Any scars should be fully healed before beginning this treatment. If you have received treatment for breast cancer please confirm your suitability with your doctor.
