scar CAMOUFLAGE
Making scars invisible
Medical tattooing for scars involves placing pigment into the skin, changing the colour of the scar tissue and allowing it to blend in with the surrounding skin. This technique can be used for all manner of scarring including:
Trauma and surgical
Self-injury
Burns
Breast augmentation/uplift or reconstruction
Skin grafts
Cosmetic surgical scars such as those from facelifts, tummy tucks, liposuction, rhinoplasty
Facial feature restoration such as cleft lip
Most scars will require needling treatment before scar camouflage can be carried out. You can book straight in for a needling session, or book a free consultation to discuss your options. Medical needling penetrates the deepest layers of the skin, stimulating the bodies healing process and improving scar texture and colour.

FAQs

Very small scars normally require only 1 treatment and a top up, multiple small scars can be treated in one session (e.g. scars behind the ears from facelifts).
Scars larger than this require a minimum of 3 sesions, spaced 4-6 weeks apart. This allows for pigment to settle deeply in the skin and gives long-lasting results.
In some case it is possible to combine your first two treatments into one longer session, this will be disussed at your patch test/consultation.
All prices are inclusive of one free top up treatment.

Yes. You must have a patch test at least 48 hours before Scar Camouflage or Areola Repigmentation treatments.
A small amount of the pigment product will be placed on the skin behind the ear. This is left on for 24 hours, then you can wash it off.
You can book a free patch test via our booking system.
These appointments are also an opportunity for you to consult with Eden about the best treatment plan for you.
Medical needling does not require a patch test, but you are welcome to book in for a free consultation too.
You can book your treatment at the same time, as long as this appointment is scheduled for at least 2 days after your patch test.

Results typically last 2-5 years before a top up is needed. You will be provided with aftercare advice to ensure you receive the best results possible.

Most clients find the treatment to be pain-free, some compare it to the feeling of a rubber band snapping on the skin.
If you are concerned about pain you can purchase a numbing cream over the counter from any chemist, and apply it 30 minutes before treatment.
-
Your scars should be fully healed before beginning this treatment.
